• Position: Locum Tenens Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA)

• Schedule: 4x10 or 5x10 option preferred; 5x10 ideal
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,600 - $6,000
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP, with temporary start requested while credentialing is in progress
• Call: No call
• Weekends: No weekend coverage
• Number of Openings: 4
• Setting: Medical direction model
• EMR: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant program
• Active Texas license or eligibility to obtain one
• CAA certification required
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Comfort working in a medically directed anesthesia environment
• Experience with blocks, spinals, and epidurals preferred, but not required
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to work weekday 10-hour shifts with reliable weekly coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a varied general case mix, including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, GI, and radiology
• Support safe and efficient perioperative anesthesia delivery under medical direction
• Collaborate with physicians, CRNAs, and perioperative team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Assist with regional anesthesia techniques when applicable and within scope
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
• Contribute to smooth daily workflow in a busy surgical environment
